About Me

I'm generally a happy person. I've been told I'm quick witted and "sharp". I like being around people and am always keen to learn new things.

I've reached a point in my life where I would like to try something different and as acting was something I said I would explore when I moved down here 11 years ago, I thought now would be a good time to take the plunge.

Physically I am an average every day sort of person, a work in progress as far as my body shape and fitness go, not unattractive but no Halle Berry either.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

I have no acting experience other than plays at school.

I played the clarinet in the Warwickshire County Youth Orchestra from the age of 11 and also took part in the first chamber music competition for schools.

I've been working as a secretary in London for the past 11 years and before that worked in Warwickshire as a secretary. I also worked part time in bars from the age of 23 until 28. I'd say I'm fairly good with people and have good observational skills. I also have a dry sense of humour which has helped me in a huge number of situations.

I've been on several game shows with varying degrees of success and so have a small understanding of what goes on behind the scenes. I'm not star struck at all.

Qualifications & Training

I have my Grade V clarinet certificate, Grade III piano, various secretarial certificates and also the first part of a City & Guilds Certificate in a teaching qualification to enable me to teach in further education (college).

I also have a certificate in afro hairdressing and european hairdressing and a ITEC certificate in reflexology.

An ability to learn and to get on with people around me.

I have good observational skills. I'm a good communicator and listener.

Interests & Hobbies

reading biographies and autobiographes and true crime books together with the occasional novel. Watching films, documentaries.

Socialising with friends. Cycling in the summer, fund raising for my friend's charity. Scuba diving (although I've not been for a while and would like to do a lot more).

I am between jobs at the moment and so I am available for castings pretty much at a moment's notice.
