About Me

I am a young, ambitious and dedicated actress, singer and dancer. I love to perform and I am always up for a challenge. From July 2011, I will be a Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts, after completing a three year degree at Northumbria University. The most recent years have provided me with valuable experience and provided an atmosphere for vast improvement. My experience spread across stage and screen, from "Atonement" and "Harry Brown" to performing in football stadium with dance troops, The Royal Albert Hall with Stagecoach at the age of 13, extenisve stage productions and student films. Behind the camera I have professional experience as a runner on movie sets, and as a stage manager in theatre.

My past experience runs up a list covering over an A4 page, including professional stage and amateur stage appearances in straight plays and musicals.
Worked as a runner on the movie 'Atonement' starring Keira Knightley and James MacAvoy. I was an extra for a few weeks, then as a runner and crew member. Since then I have also played a journalist in 'Harry Brown' with Michael Caine and been in numerous student films and music videos.

Last year...
I stage managed a northern youth production of "Les Miserables" (picture of me at my desk)

I held down a main character and dancer part in the theatre adaptation of Nikki Six's "Heroin Diaries" (picture of me dancing in red and black)

I was a featured extra in the music video for "Jimmy and The Sounds"

I played "Grace" in Sarah Kane's "Cleansed" and "Anna" in Patrick Marbler's "Closer"
I believe this says I am a very versitile actress with alot to give.

Acting is my true passion, whether its acting through a song in a band, musical theatre or staright acting...anything involving acting I love. I also have an interest in camera work, I have trained at university but at a basic level so this is something I would like to develop and possibly do some work experience involving being behind the camera and not always infront of it.
I have just finished my three year degree at Northumbria University with a BA (Hons) in Performance My last project has been in association with the university, which was a dramatisation of "Grimm's Tales" by Carol Ann Duffy.

I have just finished A Streetcar Named Desire, where I played the demanding role of 'Blance Du Bois' with Nice Swan Theatre Company in Newcastle Upon Tyne. As soon as I finished the show, I made plans to move to London, where I am now living indefinitely.

I have just recieved news that I have made it onto a showcase in Piccadilly in June, and onto the well known TV show DCI Banks which I start filming soon.

I am always looking for new adventures and challenges and I believe with my versitility I can take on anything.

I have done numerous amateur catwalks and photoshoots for vintage shops and boutiques in the North East of England and upon numerous occasions have helped photographers on their own portfolio.

I have been in a number of professionl music videos before, such as "Jimmy and The Sounds" and "One Night Only".

I was the cover girl for Yorkshire Living and Durham Living magazine in March and April of last year. My latest headshots were taken by Sean Elliott at the Biscuit Factory in Newcastle, and he has asked to keep in touch with me for future shoots. My last modelling job was 20th February where I was on the runway for a vintage fashion fair in Newcastle upon Tyne, modelling dresses, one off pieces and fantastic vintage jewellery.

I have played the drums for almost 10 years now, but singing has always been my main musical passion. Whether it be Rock 'N' Roll, Musical Theatre, ballads or a bit of experimential music, I'm always up for singing here and there. I have gigged quite alot recently around Newcastle Upon Tyne with my guitarist Mickey, and working toward my BA Degree in Performing Arts at Northumbria University.
I am predominantly a musical theatre singer, with experience of many musicals such as Les Miserables, West Side Story & Jesus Christ Superstar.

I have very basic ballet training and have quite a bit of contemporary experience. I was part of the country dance troop for 2 years and we performed at events and parties together.
I have trained at Dance City in contemporary and jazz, whilst taking university classes as part of my degree. I am required to dance in almost all of the shows that I do, so it is something I am very used to, and pick up routines quickly.
