Hi! I\\\'m Vassilis D. I\\\'m professional musician. I\\\'m working also as session guitarist. When i was 14, I started to study and play classical guitar for six years and after a while I began studying electric guitar too. I\\\'ve been playing professionaly for the last 7 years. My origin is from Greece, but I\\\'ve been living in Northampton UK for the past few years. Born in 1983 in Kastoria-Greece. My first steps as a guitarist started at the age of 14 (i started playing keyboards some years before), when suddenly, a classical guitar from Bulgaria (Puldin) that was forgotten in a wordrobe for many years, caught my attention and my interest. I started to play the guitar alone and later i went to take lessons at a music school for 6 years, playing the classical guitar. At the same time i was trying by myself, to play songs of my favourite rock heroes with an electric guitar too. After a while i started to take lessons for the electric guitar.
In 2008 i created my first hard/heavy band, called "Clonocide". At the beggining we were playing only metal covers, but later we were writing our songs too. That band broke down in November '12.
At the same time, from August 2009 until May 2012 i also played at the biggest musical stage of my town, the "Blue Note" bar, where we played more than 400 songs of a very big range of music: from blues to hard rock and from pop to jazz, 4 days per week, 6 hours per day.
Those days were busy, but was never enough for me, so, i joined to "Rock Avlaia" band on May '12, a band of my friends and we played some gigs together.
After the break down of "Clonocide" i created my second band on December '12, called "Hammrock" and since then I've been writing my own music. So, the first EP of this band was released some months later on May '12, called "Pictures of Life" and it went really well for self released cd! We won three times international internet competitions, the first one on 15/6/13 from GR4U radio in Germany as "Best song" for the season 2012/2013, the second one on 4/7/13 from Unsigned Revolution in USA as "Best band" among 100 bands from all over the world and the third one on 1/4/14 from Firebrand radio, UK as "Best band of the month March! We have now recorded the music for the new full length album (10 songs) and we hope that we'll release it soon. We are looking also for record label.
All these years i played with some really good and important musicians and we played together with really great bands! The songs that i have played until now exceed the number of 600...and it's never enough!
