About Me
I am a mature, confident lady with 50+ years experience in (good) Amateur Theatre, playing many principal roles my favourite of which was 'Felicia' in 'Witches of Eastwick'. I have also danced since the age of 2 (tap, ballet, stage, ballroom and Latin American). I am a retired Primary Head Teacher so I have good availability. I am very reliable and very committed once I am involved in a project. I have good comic timing, having played many'character' roles over the years. I am able to assume a variety of accents including cockney, Yorkshire, RP, Irish, West Country, Liverpool, American (Including New York and Southern state) and French.

Employment History & Experience
I played my first role as the 'obnoxious' Snow child in Carousel in 1961 and was instantly hooked! During 50+ years on the amateur stage I have played many, and varied principal roles. I tend to be cast in 'character' parts because of my comedic skills and my ability to assume a variety of accents. My favourite role was as Felicia Gabriel in 'Witches of Eastwick'. My most recent role was in a play, 'Stepping Out' in which I played Rose - with an Irish accent.

Employment History & Experience
As the majority of my stage experience is in musicals, I have also been singing on stage for 50+ years! My range is usually alto although I can sing comfortably up to a top G as I had to in 'Witches'.

Employment History & Experience
I have danced since the age of 2. I have experience in tap, ballet, modern stage, ballroom, Latin American and Old time sequence dancing. As well as dancing as part of my principal roles, I have also taken part in many dance teams and have 30 years experience of choreographing stage musicals, my favourite of which was 'West Side Story'. Last year I choreographed 'White Christmas' in Neath, South Wales and this show won the best production award from their regional NODA.

Other Information
Relevant Skills
Over many years I have developed my acting skills. I understand the difference in performance between being onstage and being on camera. I have received many, very positive, newspaper reviews over the years and was described as a 'force of nature' by the NODA reviewer when I played Rose in Stepping Out earlier this year - I think the phrase he was looking for was 'Tour de force' !!
Interests & Hobbies
I have a keen interest in photography and like to get out with my camera whenever I can, usually when we take our caravan away for a break in our beautiful Lake District. I enjoy spending time with my 4 year old grand son, Dominic.
Miscellaneous Information
I can drive and have access to a vehicle. I am happy to travel distances if need be. I have family in London with whom I can stay, should any work come up.
