About Me
I graduated from St Catherine’s drama school in 1987 as a licentiate of LAMDA, having been taught by June and Adrian Cooper. As an actress I worked on The Bill (obviously), Howards Way, the Ruth Rendell Mysteries with the gorgeous George Baker, Charlie the Kid directed by Baz Taylor and It’s a Girl written and directed by John Burrows amongst others. I was also in the advert for Golden Churn (Utterly- Butterly) – I winged it! Joly Richardson then gave me a narrow escape from the film A Rose for Winter. I spent the rest of my career touring the Provinces and achieved a standing ovation at The Hawth Theatre, Crawley when I was up against Howard Keel, although all my Nan and Dora Brian cared about was that I was sharing space with Howard.
Since then I have continued to direct, write and coach, both children and adults. My latest project was coaching the juvenile lead in the film Tell it to the Bees, directed by Annabel Jankel. I am also a licensed chaperone.
I now find myself an ‘empty nester’ and have a yearning to return to my acting roots.
