I am an outgoing and enthusiastic person who always puts everything I have into my work. I am always looking to impress and always seeking a new challenge to get stuck into. Film and media and theatre have always been interesting to me and ever since I was little I enjoyed being in the spotlight. Saying that, I also work well in a team and enjoy the chance to meet new people and make new friends. I relish the opportunity to learn a new skill or talent and I would express great interest in a role which required me to push myself and learn something new such as in the past where I have had to learn lines in Russian.

Employment History & Experience

I have never been professionally employed to act but i have a great deal of unpaid experience in both theatre and film. I am a member of a student film making society with whom I have acted, produced and directed in the past. I also have experience in many genres of acting in theatre from pantomimes to musicals to alternative drama.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

My past experience has involved film and theatre acting as well as film production, direction and script writing. I have played lead roles in theatre, particularly pantomimes. My extroverted character makes me perfectly suited to comedic roles. However I have also played some more challenging roles. For example, in a production of "Oh, What a Lovely War!” I played the Master of Ceremonies which required the portrayal of a darker persona at times. In film, I have developed a liking towards playing villains though I have played a range of characters. I excel at subtle characterization and prefer to play complex characters whom I can make my own and add my unique style and flare. I have also presented a radio show while at school and am currently seeking to set up a radio show with the society at Stirling University.

Aside from my academic qualifications in Drama, I have no professional training. However, I do have acting experience in both film and theatre under direction.

Relevant Skills

I have relatively good computer skills though I don't have any specialist qualifications in computing. I have a good base knowledge of graphic design and advertising using computer programs. I am a very creative person and enjoy artistic opportunities such as in my film-making. My creative skills have been useful in the past for advertising projects and in my acting in film and theatre.

Interests & Hobbies

I lead a very active lifestyle and I enjoy outdoor sports such as kayaking, rock-climbing, hill walking and archery. Aside from my sporting activities I enjoy reading and writing in my spare time as well as spending time socializing with friends. I am also part of a group of student film-makers and I have successfully produced, directed, written and acted in short films in the past. I am currently working on several other projects and short films.
