About Me

I am a practising Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for the Arts looking for some opportunities to be part of the creative process by doing some Extras work. As someone with a wide breadth of work experience including some positions of responsibility, and experience working with a wide range of people, including Speech and Language Therapist, English teacher and Cabin Crew for British Airways, I am patient, conscientious and highly adaptable.

My prior experience working as an Extra includes taking part in some advertisements which were shown on Chinese television whilst working as an English teacher in China, and featuring in some adverts for Intel as part of a Christmas campaign for PC World in 2012.

• 郑州平面设计�司 – Advertising agency based in Henan province in China. In 2010 I took part in several advertisements needing western females that were shown on Chinese television.

WORK HISTORY

The London Children’s Practice 9/2014 – Present

Private practice set up to help individuals with a range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). Speech and Language Therapist: I work at a secondary school to assess and provide therapy for a large caseload of students with a range of SLCN. During the holidays I carry out work in the clinic with younger children.

British Airways 05/2011 – 05/2012

The flag carrier airline for the United Kingdom, renowned for its high quality service. Cabin Crew – Trained in Safety and Emergency Procedures as well as First Aid, Fire Fighting and Premium Service, I was responsible for passengers’ safety as well as comfort.

Headway Devon 09/2010 – 05/2011

Charity seeking to improve life after brain injury. Outreach Enabler – duties included meeting clients on a one to one basis to work towards individual goals. Children’s Centre Manager – duties included providing activities for children with brain injuries, managing volunteers and the Assistant Manager as well as a considerable amount of paperwork and office duties. I completed training on epilepsy, disability awareness and “boundaries”.

Shengda College, Henan Province 09/2009 – 07/2010

Private university in the Henan province of China. English Teacher – Duties included designing courses, planning and delivering lessons in Oral English, Advanced Writing and Business English to classes of 25 – 50 students, setting, marking and grading exams and homework and spending time in “English Corner”.

The Rock Inn, Dartmoor National Park 09/2008 – 07/2009

Hotel and restaurant on Dartmoor, renowned across the region for its country setting, excellent food and hospitality. Waitress – duties included serving food and drink to customers, housekeeping duties in the rooms upstairs, etc, whilst ensuring guests received excellent customer service

Ron Dawes Event Photography, Plano, Texas 06/2003 – 08/2003

American company in Texas offering photography services at dog and horse shows. Photography Assistant – helped taking the photographs as well as explaining to customers how to use the computer-operated system.

Moto Services, Exeter 06/2003 – 09/2003

As a result of publicity in the local newspaper, I sold a series of photographs to Moto-services which formed a mural in their main restaurant, and was commissioned to do another set, as well as designing some more images which would appear on cards and gift bags for retail.
