I started working at the age of sixteen and have been ever since. I've had three jobs now and in all jobs I have been told by my managers how extremely proactive I am. I hate sitting around waiting for answers to appear, I stand up put one foot in front of the other and find the answers. In the winter the demand for sunglasses is very low, so instead of sitting around and waiting for customers, I suggested we approach all customers passing by and making them aware of our deals and offers. I also find other things to do when it's quite, for example cleaning, stock count and strengthen my knowledge on the products we sell.

I'm a very driven, ambitious, positive person. wherever I am I never seize to give up an opportunity, in my six years in retail I always worked to the highest standards. I hated when people would complain about their jobs and how it was not what they wanted to pursue in life. I knew retail was not something I would be doing forever, however I always worked to my best.

Being able to communicate effectively is one of my most important skills in life. Working in heart of london i have met people from all over the world with different backgrounds.

I can easily adapt to any situation or any change in my work force. before working at john Lewis I worked at Carphone warehouse for nearly three years, I wanted to change were worked so I decided to go into fashion. Having no experience in the fashion industry I was slightly hesitant. However within three months I became one of the top sellers and was advised by my manager to apply for the supervisor position after one year in employment.

Interests & Hobbies

I am an active and very enthusiastic person. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and generally socializing with people. I have a very keen interest in media as it affects the livelihoods of people all around the world, it also allows us to stay in touch with information we may be unaware of. This is why I enjoyed studying it so much
