About Me
I worked extensively in theatre, TV and radio as a youngster and currently work as a freelance music theatre director. I am keen to reuse my performance skills. I have a current CRB check and a clean driving licence. I own and train three very beautiful golden retrievers. I also own an original Mini Cooper with all the trimmings. I speak French and Spanish and can ride a horse.

As a young actress my family moved to Canada and whilst there I played a number of stage roles, most notably Lady Macbeth (Macbeth) at the Vancouver Playhouse, Victoria (My Fat Friend), Sheila, (Relatively Speaking) and Fernande Olivier (Beautiful Tigers) for the New Play Centre.
I also worked regularly for CBC radio and television (Beachcombers, CBC TV, Canada).
When I returned to the UK I continued my acting work. A variety of theatre roles included: Crissy in the national tour of “Hair”; The Secretary in the Crucible Theatre’s production of Tom Stoppard’s “Jumpers”; Fraulein Kost in “Cabaret” at the Newcastle Playhouse, directed by Bob Carlton; Kathy in “Company” at the Library Theatre, Manchester and a year’s work in “Oh Calcutta!” at the Duchess Theatre, London.
I also played television roles in “A Bunch Of Five”, ATV Network Ltd; “Wings” BBC TV; “Johnny Jarvis” BBC TV and was a freelance actor for BBC School Radio before being invited to join the BBC radio repertory company on a year’s contract. During that year my most exciting roles were Mary Magdalene, working with Paul Copley and Patrick Troughton and Maria in “Twelfth Night”. My most demanding role was playing the left foot of a pair of clogs.

I have worked extensively as a freelance workshop facilitator and presenter for many companies including the NHS, BBC School Radio,
LLoyds Underwriters and the University of Kent at Canterbury.
I have recently returned from Belfast where I was facilitating a an educational workshop linking a firm of solicitors and a group of under-priviliged youngsters.
I am regularly called upon to adjudicate theatre and school productions and have worked for Music Theatre for Youth and the National Youth Theatre in this capacity.

and then went on to choreograph, act and direct.
As a choreographer/dancer, I worked on the national tour of “Hair” and ”Godspell” at the Young Vic. I also appeared in a number of pantomimes at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield and played Kathy in "Chorus Line" at the Manchester Library Theatre.

After the birth of my two children, I started to specialise in directing. My productions have featured at the Savoy Theatre, Buckingham Palace , the Royal Opera House and on a BBC2 documentary filmed inside Wandsworth Prison. I am also deeply committed to youth music theatre and have directed extensively for the National Youth Music Theatre, Youth Music Theatre:UK and Music Theatre 4 Uth, Northern Ireland.
Qualifications & Training
In addition to RAD ballet exams, I also trained in tap, contemporary and jazz dance.
I have a BA Honours degree in Modern Languages and Literature.
I have a post-graduate qualification in Music Theatre from Mountview Theatre School.
I have attended and passed an Arts & Business Management Course.

I have worked as a course director and presenter for NHS GP training programmes, corporate business training schemes and specialist teacher training courses in music theatre.
I have lectured on the University of Kent at Canterbury MA Devising Theatre Course and am currently lecturing there on the BA Scenography Course.
Interests & Hobbies
I enjoying reading everything and anything! I have written a number of youth musicals, 4 of which have been published. I am currently compiling a book of children's poetry which I wrote for my youngsters when they were little.
