About Me

I am sixty years old, but look younger (without a beard)and have travelled the world with my previous job. I am retired from the MOD now and spend my time writing and drawing cartoons. I had a book published 18 months ago called Permanent Moments - A Fictional Autobiography and have recently had an exhibition of my latest cartoons on display in Carlisle.

General Experience

I have spent the last 40 years working within the MOD mostly as a trainer and presenter of work-related material. During my time, though, I was involved in various amateur dramatic societies and clubs. I have played a range of ages on stage and have also directed. I also organised a succesion of Burns Nights where I also acted as Laird and gave the Address to Lassies. I am an excellent communicator and public speaker (or so I'm told).

Qualifications & Training

I don't have any acting qualifications, but I am a qualified trainer and so I'm used to standing in front of strangers and talking to them.

Relevant Skills

I'm a very good public speaker. I am appearing as a Professor in an episode of a web series called The Last of the Quantum Time Keepers called The Moon Wranglers, which is being filmed against green screen at the moment.

Interests & Hobbies

I enjoy writing and cartooning. I write three blogs: Travels With My Rodent, A Life in Cheese and The Opinionated Film Buff and have also written a novella, which was published in Dec 2013. I am currently working on my second book.
