About Me

I am a 60 year old retired chemistry teacher with no acting experience apart from appearing in school plays in the 70s and as a staff actor in school productions and pantos. I am a very keen gardener and watcher of TV crime dramas.

Good communicator. Able to relate to all ages of people after 38 years as a successful teacher.
Past Deputy Headteacher and acting Headteacher. As Senior leader I have had the privilege of managing a range of people from highly qualified teachers to support staff such as dinner ladies and caretakers. I have also dealt with very challenging and difficult students and parents This required finely tuned negotiating skills and a good deal of assertiveness. I have led a lot of INSET and training so I am used to speaking to large groups of people.

Interests & Hobbies

Keen gardener. Past president and current Vice-Chair of Scunthorpe Rugby Club. This has meant that I have managed a range of people in a voluntary setting. I have also spoken a great deal at lunches and dinners. I have been able to hold the interest of the audience and also been known to tell a joke or two.
