About Me
I was born and raised in Doncaster but moved to Norfolk after completing a BSc in psychology at Coventry University. I spent most of my adult life working in mental health in various settings and professional capacities.
I started my acting journey in my mid to late 20s after moving to Norwich. I trained at the Norwich Theatre Royal's Studio Theatre between 2001 and 2004 and then worked with a theatre group for 3 years, performing both supporting and lead roles in numerous stage productions, until the group disbanded in 2007. During this time, I also undertook Supporting Artist work for TV and film.
I took a break from acting to focus on my career in mental health, gaining a master’s degree from the University of East Anglia. I moved to Devon where I gained Post Graduate qualifications in psychological therapies from Exeter University and worked in the community providing psychological therapy.
I moved to Salford in 2019 with the sole purpose of fulfilling my dream of being a professional actor. I joined Scream Management as a supporting artist and signed up with The Actors Lab to further my skills and make contacts. I also joined Salford Arts Theatre for a production in 2019.
I have a philosophy of always learning and developing through both taught and self-directed study, drawing on multiple acting styles and approaches. I have a rich and resonant voice and a great ear for accents which is an area of special interest that I am currently studying from home.
I am a Manchester-based actor looking to develop as a screen actor and voice artist. I am a driver and willing to travel within reason for the right projects.
