Employment History & Experience

I am an actor, singer and deviser/improviser/live artist, with many years' experience working in live and recorded performance.

I trained both here in London, at Ecole Philippe Gaulier, and prior to that at the John Bolton Theatre School in Melbourne, Australia.

I am also a member of The Actors Centre and in the past have taken part in a variety of workshops and performed in a number of productions at The Tristan Bates Theatre, working with, amongst others, Gari Jones, Harry Burton, and Jeremy Stockwell.

I have worked consistently in both theatre and film, and earlier this year worked for a second time with multi BAFTA winner Daniel Mulloy on his latest short film "Baby" (which won UK Film Council Award Best British Short Film at the 2010 Edinburgh International Film Festival), as well as award winning AZKO Films "Disorder", shot by Gerry Vasbenter (Lord Of The Rings, The Duchess), and nominated for a Limelight Award for Best Thriller.

I recently returned from Spain from a two week shoot for "Red In The Water" playing the female lead in Mikel Guerra's short film, and have also just finished shooting Navin Dev's feature film "Red Kingdom Rising", a dark take on the Alice In Wonderland story.

My most recent theatre appearance was in "The Extraordinary Cabaret of Dorian Gray", in which I sang as a solo as well as performed as part of the ensemble. The show had a 6 week run at the Leicester Square Theatre:

I also have experience of working in schools and running workshops. In the past I have worked with TheatreActive, whose work involves presenting issue based shows in schools, using Forum Theatre techniques. Coupled with that experience, I have also run and facilitated various workshops, which have included Singing workshops for Young People at Actorshop Academy and Drama with Refugee Teenagers at Tricycle Theatre, as well as running day long role-play workshops in various High Schools in London for Business Dynamics.

My singing experience includes having sung in a number of shows (I played the Gypsy Queen-lead female acting/singing role, in the Circus of Horror for about 2 and a half years, taking part in 2 National tours and performing in venues such as the Roundhouse in London and at the Edinburgh Festival) and being the lead singer with various bands and ensembles.

I have strong harmony skills and a 3 octave range from Alto to Soprano. My main Singing and Voice Training was with Will Conyers (a student of Graham Clarke's) who taught me the Bel Canto technique.
