About Me

My best accomplishment is that I'm a mum! Next to that though, I'm a hard working, dedicated performer. I have had lead roles in amateur dramatics, in both pantomimes and musicals. My favourite being Eliza in My Fair Lady. I also direct shows, aswel as being a sound engineer, and musician. I play the flute, clarinet and alto saxophone. I take direction well. I can work alone, as well as part of a team.

I am a member in an amateur dramatics socirmety that performs pantomimes, musicals, and charity shows every year. I have enjoyed working my way up from a chorus member, to my first lead role as principle boy in panto. Closely followed by being leading lady as Elixmza Doolittle in My Fair Lady... Which is still my favourite role.

Flute and alto saxophone at grade 8 standard. I taught myself clarinet up to grade 5 standard. I was then asked to play in the band for our beauty and the beast musical performance. The MD told me it was predominantly flute and a tiny bit of clarinet, whereas when the score arrived it was the other way around... There were clarinet notes I had never even played, and the opening night was 3weeks away. With alot of determination and practise over those 3 weeks, I was able to improve my grade 5 clarinet playing, to playing expert level music, confidently and correctly, as part of a band. Anything is possible when you are passionate and determined.

I am predominantly an alto, however I can sing slightly higher than the top range. I enjoy singing solos, or as part of a group. I can take the lead, yet I prefer the harmony parts as it gives me more of a challenge. My style of voice is more suited to Judy Garland and Bette Midler, or Disney!
