About Me

My name is Soledad Basaldua, and my stage name is SHERA. I am 24 years old, originally from Argentina but based in London.
I am a singer-songwriter, dancer and model, and have been performing since a very young age back in Buenos Aires. I attended musical theatre school for six years; was part of the Argentinean Gymnastics national team; and also did acrobatics, trapeze and air silks at "La arena" circus school for three years.
When I finished school, I moved to Spain and attended dance school where I did Jazz, Street/hip hop and Tap dance. I also began my singing career professionally performing in bars, hotels and private events in the area.
After two years I moved to the UK, where I gigged in the north west for 3 years and finally moved to London (where I am based still) to write and record my music, and continue to find my way to succeed in my career.
Music has always been my passion and I am very determined to make it in this industry, all those years gave me the experience and made me into the artist and person I am today; and hope to keep finding people who will help me in this journey to success!

My music career started from a very young age, I used to play the guitar and piano (will get back into it very soon!) and I always knew I wanted to be an artist.
I always wrote lyrics and had experience in recording studios but only for covers, I only started creating my own music when I was 19 at "Major Music academy" in London, i used to travel from manchester only for the day for sessions.
After moving to London, I found new producers to work with (some I still work with), and to learn more things about the music industry. Apart from my own music, I have also co-writen for other artists and I am proud to say that the director of "Urban soul orchestra", Stephen Hussey, did the strings for my original song "Tango".
Below is a list of some of the events I have done performing my original songs:
• Birmingham Pride (main stage)
-Performed 2 years in a row at Birmingham Pride's festival singing a variety of cover songs and my own music.

-Singing at a Charity Event for Haiti Earthquake Victims organized by the Eastenders cast.

-Performed as the main act, singing and dancing on a Rock/dance event night.

-Performed at Major Music Academy's showcases which took place at the Jewel bar in Covent Garden and The Living room in Tower hill.

General Experience

I am an aspiring singer/songwriter and dancer, and my ultimate career goal is to succeed within the music industry. I have been performing since a young age and my passion for singing and performing on stage has developed my skills into the artist I am today. I have performed all over the world, which has given me extensive experience and recognition as an artist. I am continuing to build upon my skills and hope that my talents will be recognized by the right people.
I am also very experienced in dancing, from Jazz/Funk, Hip hop, Tap Dance, podium and Commercial and feel I can pick up routines easily and execute them at a professional level. I have been professionally trained and my dancing experience is high which adds to my confidence and technique on stage. Have also attended circus school for 3 years, where I learnt trapeze and air silks. I have also been part of the Crystal Palace cheerleader squad for the 2013/14 season, where we danced in the stadium on every home match in front of 25.000 people.
I have a keen interest in modeling and I am currently building upon my experience by working with a variety of photographers and agencies on my portfolio and other small projects to build my experience and credits.
