About Me

I am a professional session drummer, producer and teacher(www.shannondrums.co.uk), and I have many years experience performing in Jazz quartets, wedding bands and major-label pop acts. Prior to becoming a musician, I was studying for my B.S.c in Genetics at the University of Manchester. I also design websites and write software in my spare time. I would very much like to be given the opportunity to be an extra for any TV show or film offered. I open to try anything and will always like to work with a high degree of professionalism, whatever the circumstances.

Worked in University laboratories conducting biochemical assays, genotyping experiments. Worked at Virgin Active Gym. Worked in customer service roles in bars and cafes. Worked in industrial products warehousing in the quality assurance department.

Fully certified Scuba diver.

Plenty of experience in live music entertainment. Largely jazz/funk music and improvisational jazz.

Interests & Hobbies

Drumming, reading scientific literature, mainly in human psychology and human biology. Electronic music production, mixing and mastering. Jazz music, afro-cuban percussion, travelling, hiking, scuba diving.

Miscellaneous Information

In the future, I plan on producing and DJing my own commercial EDM music. I also have plans to create an app that aims to hones user's abilities to work on their cognitive biases to better improve their personal and working lives.
