About Me

Hello my name is Sophie and I was born in Torbay, Devon and I have lived there all my life. I enjoy amateur dramatics, technical theatre, acting, socializing with friends, listening to music and watching movies in the horror genre mainly. I live with my Father, his partner and my brother and sister. I am quite a easy going person, who enjoys working hard and meeting new people.

I started my performing career at the age of nine, with my first production of 'my fair lady' where I was the character, Eliza. I then went onto secondary school where I studied Drama for five years, including obtaining a GCSE grade B. I then furthered my education into performing, by doing a Btec National Diploma of Performing Arts. Through that course, I became involved in the local ghost show at Kents Cavern where I have performed for two seasons. During my time at South Devon College, I performed in musicals: Wicked (Elephaba), Chicago (extra) and Rent (Angel). I have also performed in many plays whilst at the college some being: Arturo Ui (extra) and Macbeth (Lady Macbeth). I have finished my college course and I obtained a DDD as my overall grade, which is the equivilant of three A*'s at A-Level. At the start of 2011, I went to Dartmoor to help out a student group with their film 'the witch of the moor' where I played the character of the witch, which can be seen on YouTube.

I have been involved in many modelling photo-shoots for the college prospectus and for the website and I have also done many photo shoots for student photographers. I have also done modelling for student made clothing.

I have had lots of experience in the performing world, in and out of education. My latest experience was working as an actress in the Kents Cavern Ghost Show in Torquay, Devon. Most of my experience has come from my education from primary school to my college years.
