About Me

My name is Sarah Louise Pearcey. I have recently graduated from the BA Hons World Performance course at East 15 Acting School with a first class degree.
My course has successfully created performers who enjoy working with new techniques and performance styles, with a lot of encouragement to find new ways to explore characters and theatrical worlds. My course is the only one in the UK to encourage it\'s performers to use a combination of skills from all across the globe to create work as a strong ensemble and become a confident solo performer with both newly devised and existing plays under the influence of each other or an outside director.

I have had the opportunity to work with many international theater practitioners, studying many different performance styles from all around the world, such as Greek Chorus, Storytelling, Devising and Improvisation, Japanese Kabuki dance-drama, Contact Improvisation, Mask, and Commedia Dell\'Arte. These along with the many other techniques studied on World Performance, combined with traditional Western actor training and work with directors, have given me a unique insight into character preparation, approaching the world of a play and how to connect and work collaboratively as part of an ensemble. The nature of the training encourages us to also be confidient with independence in many types of performance, and able to use and develop my training and skills into any piece of work. I also have experience in short and feature film, and have featured in work submitted to festivals globally.
