Employment History & Experience

I have been singing and songwriting from a very young age and I have grown up with a very musical environment. My mother is a Jazz and Gospel artist , and I have learnt from her mostly. I do little events and sing at showcases usually open Mic's. I consider myself a singer/songwriter I write my songs based on inspiration and who I am. I also compose my songs with the piano. Music is a way of lifestyle to me, like a religion I must follow, without Music Im not Ruby. I was asked to sign to a record label called ' Rock Steady Music ' but unfortunately as I was still finishing secondary school was unable to attend their Monday rehearsals. I am currently looking for more shows to promote myself I believe dreaming is believing and my dream will always be to succeed in my love for music.

I belonged to a group called Vuka Africa. This was a South African dance troupe which still performs today. We rehearsed every Saturday without fail and did performance at weddings, birthdays, anniversaries etc.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

I have had experience in a recording studio. Two of my uncles own studios, and I have recorded 2 covers there. I have a feel of what the music industry is about from seeing my mother perform everywhere, this includes getting to see my mum sing in front of Matthew Knowles. I know how much hard work and dedication it takes to make it to where you want to be.
