Employment History & Experience

In 2014 I played the character of Julie, a seductive and manipulative friend/lover in the 'golf-noir thriller' short film The Swing, The Hole and The Lie, written and directed by Barry Adamson. In 2015 I acted in a micro-movie, also directed by Adamson, which was used as the promotional video for that year's Cinecity film festival. Also in 2015 I both acted in (as a 'digital nymph' in various characters) and presented a corporate film for the technology company Hexology. This work involved acting against green screen, as well as recording voice-over. I have recently been cast in two central roles, work on both of which will begin this Summer: The King Strikes Back, a radio play by Joseph Tucker, in which I play AI news producer Trilly TwoSix, and a feature-length film by Barry Adamson, in which I play Kitty, an aging and troubled burlesque performer.

Employment History & Experience

For seven years (until Dec 2015) I ran and compered the Brighton monthly performance poetry event Hammer & Tongue, described by the Guardian as having 'reinvented the medium for the hip hop generation'. Since 2007 I have also co-managed and compered the cabaret club event Trailer Trash! Hosting at these events is much more theatrical; each one has a different cult-movie theme, and I host in character (some examples: Jessica Rabbit, Tank Girl, Elle Driver). Since 2010 I have co-hosted the Latitude festival poetry stage, and host many other festival stages, including Glastonbury Poetry & Words, on an ad hoc basis. I compere an enormous variety of other events, from community library events with audiences of 50 to hip hop battles with audiences of 700.

In 2013 I hosted the pilot tv panel show TaleSpin, in which writers and researchers pitch their story ideas to a team of Brighton TV directors, screen writers and producers for a chance to have their project produced by them. This work involved using autocue and navigating several cameras as well as ad-lib communication with both the panelists and a live audience.

Employment History & Experience

Since 2006 I have worked as a life model in colleges, art classes, staged art productions and private portrait sittings.

In 2011 I modelled for a David Lynch-themed fashion photo shoot for the inaugural issue of Pretty Litter magazine, in a feature spread that ran alongside an interview with me and my Trailer Trash! co-manager.

Employment History & Experience

In my capacity as a performance artist I present material in various characters. Most recently my installation performance is 'Rosy Carrick's Beauty Tips for School', a subversion of regular LA beauty vloggers in which I offer makeover tips using only my own menstrual blood (and other faux-beauty methods). This character started online, as a series of YouTube videos.
