About Me

I would really love to be involved in the performing arts in more or less any capacity as it has left a hole in my life for a number of years.

I have many varied interests that I'm passionate about, regardless of if or when I am able to engage in them all. I like to work to the best of my ability. Solving problems and learning new things mostly brings me excitement and satisfaction.

I have listed that I don't have experience, however it's really that I don't have recent experience. I studied ballet, tap, modern jazz, traditional jazz, highland and a little line dance throughout my whole childhood and completed a year of contemporary and ballet at college. During this time, I was involved in numerous stage productions, workshops and also pursued drama,singing and French horn. This was about 10 years ago. Since then, and until 2020, I was learning martial arts in my spare time.

I also have a (neutered) wirehaired standard dachshund who is very sweet natured. Please let me know the details for me to consider if you would like her to participate.

General Experience

I have various professional experience. I have been working as operations director (now part time) for a small company with worldwide reach since 2015 which has involved everything from pitching the product to prospective buyers at trade shows, to logistics, purchasing, strategy and marketing among others.

Qualifications & Training

Dance qualifications: BBO Grade 8 ballet, BBO Advanced 1 Tap, Modern jazz, NC Dance (contemporary)

Other arts: Scottish Highers in Drama, Art, English, Music
NQ Art Foundation
MArch Architecture

Dance training was through the BBO syllabus, including workshops with leading dancers and teachers. The only exceptions being contemporary which I studied at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, and disciplines such as Highland and line dancing which were not examined.

Interests & Hobbies

Animals (particularly my dog, birds, and insects), nature and wildlife. I have an allotment where I enjoy growing a variety of mostly fruit and vegetables and currently volunteer on the committee as newsletter editor. I'm currently training for my first (mini) triathlon. I care about the environment and volunteer litter picking in my local area.
