About Me

I am 16 years old and currently in my first year of sixth form studying performing arts drama and English language. Musical theatre is my passion and something I wish to pursue as a career in the future. I can sing, act and dance though dance is a slightly weaker asset than acting and singing. I have loved performing ever since I was young and have been a member of various local dance and acting groups which allowed me to perform in various venues and events such as the Nationals Theatre Connections in 2016. I have recently been involved of a new musical that was soecifially for my town and was written and produced by West End writers and I attended the West End Stage Summer School in the summer of 2016.

Employment History & Experience

I have been in the original cast of the new musical Danny Hero written for Corby by Laurence Mark Wythe with musical director Mark Collins. I have also performed in the National Theatre Connections 2016 at Royal and Derngate in Northampton with my drama group. I attended West End Stage Summer School in August of 2016 and performed in Her Majesty's Theatre. Also, I worked with 2 practitioners from physical theatre group Frantic Assembly to create a show in 4 days which was performed at my school.

General Experience

I took tap and ballet classes from the age of 4-11 however they were generally learning the basics. I attended weekly gymnastics classes too from around the age of 7-9 though have not attended any since. I was previously a part of a drama company called Core Actors from the Core at Corby Cube which allowed me many performance experiences however I am now a part of Core Dancers of the same venue which focuses mainly on contemporary and shall be attending N Dance this year with them.

Qualifications & Training

At GCSE I received a Distinction Star in drama BTEC however have had no professional dance, singing or acting training.

Relevant Skills

I can sing, act and dance with dance being slightly weaker out of the 3 as I've only recently got back into dance whereas I've been acting and singing for over 5 years now.

Interests & Hobbies

I enjoy to sing and act and wish to pursue a career in musical theatre in the future. I enjoy going to the theatre to see musicals and plays and try to do this as much as I can having seen the likes of Wicked, Les Miserables, Things I know to be True by Frantic Assembly, Billy Elliot, Matilda etc.

Miscellaneous Information

I am hard working and very focused when set on a task. I may not be the quickest when it comes to learning lines or picking up choreography however I try my hardest and try not to let frustration get the better of me if I am unable to do something. I am dedicated to what I do and have passion for it.
