I'm brilliant, simply brilliant! Kidding...an ex-lawyer who has been a professional vocalist and opera singer for around 10 years; have had a go at writing comedy and poetry, coming up with characters, have a passion for presenting (especially in relation to music, food, cooking, politics and social issues); can make connections with people from all sorts of backgrounds; I can be serious, funny and a little bonkers, but always sincere; Have performed on TV and radio in the USA, Australia and Germany and The Netherlands.

Have performed in professional musicals, plays and operas with dialogue scenes for around 20 years. Previous professional acting job was in 2014 in the play 'Masterclass' where I played a cocky young Italian-American operatic tenor performing in a masterclass with the diva Maria Callas: the scenes showed 1970's cool strut type walking, an New York accent, some comedic timing and serious venerability with the fellow actor in the scene. The production sold out shows for two weeks. It was with Left Bauer Productions, Melbourne, Australia.

I have presented songs and opening speeches for shows whilst on tour with Classical-pop group 'The Ten Tenors'. I was usually asked to make informative comments whilst injecting comedy...I even presented songs in German and Korean.

In my non-operatic shows I often speak and add jokes when explaining what the next song in the concert is or give a funny outline of an opera. I have been part of semi-panto shows both for corporate audiences and even a children's opera show.

General Experience

I have lived most of my life in Australia but have toured in Germany, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, South Korea, China, lived in Italy for two years and now based in the UK. I have degrees in social science and law so have worked with all sorts of people: the common effect I have is that I make people laugh and have a skill in being able to tell a story and keep peoples' attention. I also love to write lines for people to use in their shows: whether it is an opening joke or some different lyrics to use in a song or ensemble. I come from an Italian and Greek Cypriot background and both my parents are emigrants to Australia. My ethnic background has definitely shaped who I am but also given me some extra breadth in my personality as a whole. I regard myself to be Australian and am proud to explore that side of me too.

Have invented a funny and odd character named 'Bobbi Cannoli': he lives above his mother's second-hand furniture store in Brunswick, Australia; he calls himself 'continental' to sound fancier than he actually is; he doesn't have much money nor does he have much carisma but he claims to be cool and suave and a real hit with the ladies; he is a great cook and loves to sing; he especially loves to share his talents with the world ;) This is a side project of mine but a character that needs the airtime.
