I am a confident person who is fun to be around with. I believe I have a natural gift for being able to capture a crowd. Presenting and being in front of a camera is something I am at complete ease with, however I am certainly not too cocky and do not demand attention, as the presenter is not always the main star of the show, they're just there to keep things running smoothly and be entertaining for the guests or audience. I am fun to be around, always up for a good laugh and am most definitely at my best when working with members of the public and meeting new people.


I am also extremely organised and dedicated to any project I am involved in. I always give 100%

Employment History & Experience

I have had lots of local presenting experience over the past few years. Throughout my time at sixth from and organised and presented many shows, including talent contests, fashion shows, charity events, and also organised and presented a regional talent show which obtained an impressive amount of media coverage and had an audience of over 600+
I am studying a degree in Journalism and I specialise in presenting. I have presented many live news bulletins, two Documentaries and countless Radio shows. As well as the presenting work I am heavily involved behind the scenes in the news-gathering process, working with different equipment, interviewing members of the public either for TV or Radio, and I am currently being trained in the radio studio so that when I finish my degree in 8 weeks time I have the option of applying for local radio presenting jobs.
Most of my skills that are relevant have been obtained whilst at University:
Interviewing skills, including short interviews such as Vox Pops and longer interviews which have been recorded and/or with important public figures i.e members of local council etc..

Comfortable in a TV studio/Radio Studio
Trained In certain equipment including Sony Z1 Cameras and Radio TaskCams

I have also had numerous part time jobs throughout the duration of my studies, mostly in sales whereby I have been trained in certain areas, including qualifying as a skin-care specialist for Clarins UK LTD (beauty brand) and successfully completing training for T-Mobile and O2.

Interests & Hobbies

Human Welfare - I also like to raise awareness about people in today's society who, for many unfair reasons are viewed in a negative way, such as immigrants, asylum seekers and in some areas of the UK, Muslims. I am currently focusing my dissertation on how the British media and tabloids in particular represent British Muslims as I feel very strongly about the negative attention they receive on a daily basis. -

Animal welfare - I am extremely passionate about all types of animal welfare, from the fur trade to legal issues, apart from presenting (of course) a career in Law specialising in Animal welfare is what I plan to do after university.

Skin care, beauty and body Image - My training as a Skincare specialist opened my eyes to the importance of having a good skincare routine, and I was also trained in make-up meaning I have a good understanding and I am extremely interested in skin care and make-up products, and offering advice to people who aren't as familiar with them. Also, I recently lost 3 and a half stone in seven months through slimming world (I put on a LOT of weight on in first year at uni, apparently beer and MacDonald's isn't a good mix) so I attend my weekly slimming classes and enjoy hearing other peoples stories, and also I act as an inspiration (don't mean that in a self-involved, I-Love-Me way ) to new members who are unsure as to whether the diet works, because it does! to ensure I keep in good shape I also attend weekly aerobics and boxer fit classes.

Miscellaneous Information

I am a happy, confident, ambitious person and my main priority in life is somehow using my skills and education to make a difference to people and animals who are less fortunate. At the same time I also love having a good time and socialising and try not to take life too seriously.
