About Me

Priyaa Lal is a British Indian actress. Her first appearance was in the Malayalam film Janakan in 2010, directed by N. R. Sanjeev . She acted along Mohan Lal and Suresh Gopi two superstars from the South Indian Film Industry. The song from the movie "Olichirunne" was a huge hit, which won the Kerala State Award in 2010. Besides acting, Priyaa is also well known for her various dancing skills.

Priyaa Lal was born on 1 August 1993 in Ras al-Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates to a Christian family, Her parents Lalaji and Beena are from Kerala, India. When Priyaa was a young child, her family migrated to the United Kingdom. She presently lives in Liverpool, England. According to the Liverpool Echo Priyaa Lal said, “I wanted to learn about how the media works, I wanted a knowledge of the subject since I’m now working in the industry.” She went onto studying Media and Production at Liverpool Arts college.


Priyaa Lal was named in as the Public Announcer by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) team and the Board Of Control For Cricket India (BCCI), for the 2nd Airtel ODI Match between India and England on the 15th January 2013 in Kochi. She was noted for her British accent while announcing for each overs of the match. She worked with the match refree Andy Pycroft. Priyaa Lal was then selected to become the MC for the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) Season 3 2013 opening ceremony at Kochi, where Salman Khan was the guest of honour for the match between Kerala Strikers and Mumbai Heroes. Later on she was given the same cap by the Association as the Public Announcer, on the 21st November 2013 for the 1st ODI match after Sachin Tendulkar's retirement, India vs West Indies held in Kochi.
