About Me

I have just finished a BTEC National Diploma in Performing arts (Acting) at Kidderminster College of Further Education. I am now taking a gap year where I am keeping myself busy. I am achieving this by taking the part of "Timms" in the play "The History Boys" at The Grange Playhouse, Broadway in Walsall, which will be showing for nine days. In addition to this I have found a part time job at Sports Direct.
Kidderminster gave me the basic skills to become an actor. They did this by teaching me the different types of performance. For example "Commedia dell'Arte, Music Hall, and Improvisation." I believe Kidderminster gave me the starting blocks of acting and now it's time to build on them, and explore deeper and most importantly to better myself.
I also attended Stagecoach Theatre School for 3 years, when I was 14 years old. This is what got me in to acting and I have never looked back. As the years went on my confidence increased and I started to learn how I shows came together and the preparation you need for a show. Stagecoach gave me the opportunity to play some great musical roles for example "Khashoggi in "We Will Rock You", and Troy in "High School Musical". This gave me a great understanding of stage discipline.
When my confidence grew I decide to audition for Windsor High School's musical production of "Grease". I was successful and got the lead part of "Danny"
After I finished going to the Theatre School I enrolled into the agency. This is where I landed a small but named part in the feature film "Creation" starting Paul Bettany, and Jennifer Connelly. I played the part of Boat Memory. While I was there I learnt all about site specific film acting, and the patience needed to get a scene completed. This was a great experience as I got to know what the industry is like. With the agency I have also been to quite a few auditions both for TV and stage.
The reason I have chosen this type of course is because it continues to develop the basic skills I have learnt, and I look forward to being able to develop these in more detail. I really want to better myself and this is the next step for me to become the creative actor I want to be, in all types of media. I feel like what I've learnt so far is the tip of the iceberg. I would really like to know about it all in more detail.
In my spare time I like to play my electric guitar and I am in the church worship band. I like to play football and I am in a 5 a side football team with some friends. I also enjoy playing squash and I go to the gym regularly. I have good ITC skills. I watch as many films as I can, and I go to the theatre frequently. I like to keep myself busy with voluntary work at my local church, I work with young children and teenage/youth on Friday nights. The agency kept asking me if I spoke any language and they tell me my appearance can look "very Mediterranean." I took what they said on board and took a level one course in Spanish this was while I was doing my BTEC at Kidderminster. I am hoping this opens more doors for me in the acting world. I am a responsible person who always meets deadlines, without fail. I am a great team player and will take charge if I need to but also take a step back when others offer there idea's. I take direction very well and I am very punctual. I read plays often.
