About Me

My name is Paige Thompson, I will be 17 in May this year. I am 5"4 in height, 8st2lbs, and have short dark hair. I have grade A in GCSE Drama, a diploma in level 2 Performing Arts at distinction level, and am currently studying level 3 Performing Arts. From age 10-14 I also attended an extra curricular drama club where I stared in many staged shows, including Veruca Salt in "Charlie and the chocolate factory" and Annie in "Annie". I have also taken part in voluntary work in my local Theatre, and assisted teaching level 3 students Drama. I am bursting with confidence, and will always put 100% effort into every challenge I am set. I am really excited to get out there and show what I have to offer. I am mainly interested in acting, however I am an all rounder and will sing/dance also! I'd also be more than happy to do some presenting, as I have done and enjoyed a lot of public speaking. Any genre will suit me, as I have had experience in many different genre fields ranging from musicals, to Agatha Christies "The Mousetrap".

Employment History & Experience

From a young age I have loved to act, my mum always called me a "Drama Queen" and told me "The world was my stage". From the young age of 5 I took part in workshops and extra curricular clubs and activities for young actors. My first appearance on a real stage was when I played "Annie" aged 9 years old, at my local theatre 'Theatre Clwyd'. At age 11 when I began high school, I just couldn't wait to join the drama club "Chocolate Theatre", where I performed a number of scripted and improvised plays in front of a large audience. It was then that my real desire for the stage became known, and I new there was nothing else I wanted for my future. I attended Chocolate Theatre until my exams started aged 14. At GCSE I studied level 2 performing arts, and GCSE Drama, where I achieved a diploma at distinction level and a Grade A. During my time studying these subjects, I had the opportunity to perform in front of large audiences on a number of occasions, which helped my confidence bloom. Not only this, I also had the opportunity to delve deeper into the theory side of things allowing me to understand the industry and how things work at great depth. Although I have not yet had any paid experience, I feel more than ready to show you what I have got to offer. I am currently studying level 3 performing arts too.
