About Me
My interest in performing started very young. I have been acting for 10 years and have developed a range of skills that have helped develop my acting technique. As an actor I undertake extensive research into any role I get the opportunity to perform and I enjoy bringing my own sense of style to each character that I play. An example of this is when I starred as King Lear. He is meant to be quite a sombre fellow, but I took my own interpretation of the character and gave him quite a quirky crazy style to show how the events that have taken place around him have affected him. This enabled me to develop a range of feelings and emotions that I could use in future roles that I could play.
My ambition is to become an actor, as I enjoy performing and entertaining people, either TV or stage.
I am a strong character actor, and I have been working on my skills since the beginning of my acting career and I enjoy the challenge that developing a character brings. For example, the first ever lead role that I received was Shakespeare's 'King Lear'. I had absolutely no experience on how to play an old dying man and this was a role I was going to have to develop. It was this point when I realised that there is a lot more to acting than just reading some lines that you've memorized whilst walking around on the stage.
