About Me

Acting has been a aspiration that I have recently discovered whilst progressing through my school years, I took it as a GCSE option to experience something new and from then it has gradually become a well known interest for me to one day appear on TV and film. I am quite a fun loving and comedic person who can easily make some people laugh, I mostly prefer comedy films because they are hilarious although any genre is ok as long at there is that one funny character who I always picture myself as in a film. New experiences are great for me as its an opportunity to meet new people along the way and take on tougher challenges throughout my soon to be career, I currently study at Canterbury College in a performing arts course and pretty much every day is a new challenge, playing characters of all kinds, which if I grow more comfortable with than it can affect my performance. As mentioned before I have met and made new friends throughout my time at college and aim to do so with everywhere I go, which can improve how I perform and whether I feel these are people I can act out in front of who have a proper understanding of me as a person.

General Experience

I have experienced acting throughout school and currently studying at college, during school we worked on many devised pieces but I prefer scripted plays which we worked on towards the end of year 11, I performed in a play called Two. Starting college I firstly helped construct a devised play around Alcoholism for younger ages, a pantomime based upon Snow White and the seven dwarves only the dwarves were referred to as Eejits, which is the Scottish word for 'idiot'. I then moved on to writing and singing my own song for a variety talent show and currently I am working on a devised piece about a journey and a scripted play called Underground by Jon Boustead.

Qualifications & Training

Qualifications I have received so far is a Merit grade after my GCSE drama work during secondary school

Relevant Skills

- I can sing relatively good sometimes, depending on the pitch of the song but I have had feedback from performances involving singing and it is something worth working on more if I was to head more into that direction.
- I am quite comedic and can make humour out of most things.
- I am confident on stage, whether I have to work on a certain character more in order to get comfortable with it and this relates to new experiences.
