About Me
Producer/presenter
Working with a small editorial team, I co-presented weekly worldwide subscription-only show Footballers’ Lives, in which I interviewed international Premier League footballers about their off-pitch passions such as music, food and style. My interviewees included Dele Alli, Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young, Marcos Alonso, Nathaniel Clyne, Calum Chambers and Chris Smalling.
As well as presenting, I helped produce the eight-minute show, securing the interview with Dele Alli about his BoohooMAN fashion range after lengthy discussions with Boohoo boss Samir Kamani and his team. I was also involved in negotiations over a series of shoots with Manchester United sponsors Chevrolet, for branded Chevrolet content where players including Lingard, Young and Smalling starred with fans about the players’ favourite interests. (This content is appearing online at the end of July.)
I wrote my own scripts for the Footballers’ Lives show with co-presenter John Walters, and helped advise the video team over the show’s edits. I prepared my own questions for interviewees and researched suitable angles for content ideas.
These responsibilities proved I can work well to tight editorial deadlines, and that I can thrive under the pressure of coming up with entertaining content for footballers at late notice, given the players’ constantly-changing availability for shoots and interviews.
