About Me

My passion for inventive playwrights, live art, and performance as well as my artistic excitement, filled in me the aspiration to explore every form of theatre and dance. I have participated in many plays as an actress or a dancer and I have worked for more than five years as a professional choreographer and assistant director for teenager’s drama theatre groups in Schools in Cyprus. My studies in BA Theatre at Brunel University of London offered me an exhilarating, motivating combination of practical abilities and educational training in theatre. Through my undergraduate degree, I focused on physical theatre, acting, digital theatre and applied drama. Recently, I was working as a main character dancer in Amina Khayyam Dance Company for the new project called ‘Slut’, which had participated in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017. As a performer, I am a hardworking and talented person who always shows determination and responsibility in order to reach my goals and fulfill my dream. I have passed with distinction all the grades of Classical Ballet (certificate from the Royal Academy of Dance), Russian Classical Ballet (certificate from ADSA), Piano Grade 7 and Theory of Music (certificate from Royal Schools of Music). I was most recently seen as a solo performer in my own physical theatre piece, called Chase up/out, in Antonin Artaud Theatre. (gained an A). During my studies in the UK, I worked as a choreographer in Cyprus in some performances: ‘Faust’ a musical theatre production with teenagers, ‘The Birds of Aristophanes’ and the ‘Ladies’ Dressmaker’, working with adults’ actors' group. I have worked as an assistant director and choreographer in two high school productions, namely “The Trojan War Will Not Take Place” and “Oscar and the Lady in Pink”. Both have taken the first theatre award in Pancyprian theatre competition in 2015 and 2016 respectively. Since my school years, I have appeared in a vast number of performances. Other international credits include my work placement in THOC (National Theatre Organization of Cyprus), as a second Assistant Director in the summer production ‘My daughter the Socialist’, and my work in Bishop Ramsey-a Church of England school, as an applied drama teacher to a teenagers group. Currently, I am studying my MA degree in Contemporary Performance Practices at the Royal Holloway University of London.
