About Me

I am a 50 year old ex school secretary who has always has a major interest in the performing arts, film and television. I feel that, as I get older, I have grown in confidence in order to progress with a career I have always wanted to follow. I retired from my admin job in April in order to pursue this career and see if I can finally make a living doing something that I love. I am willing to travel to jobs and keen to have new experiences and meet new people.

I am a 50 year old ex school secretary who has always has a major interest in the performing arts, film and television. I have previous experience as a supporting artist on television sets, as well as acting experience on stage in local pantomimes and variety sketch shows.

General Experience

I am currently working as an SA in the Yorkshire, Humberside, Derbyshire, Manchester and Liverpool areas. I would like to obtain further work as an SA and also branch out into small acting roles and becoming featured when on SA work. I am working on my CV at present but have only been on 3 SA jobs so far, so it's a work in progress. I would like to obtain further work like this as well as going for smaller acting roles and increasing my experience on set. I will be attending an acting academy in September which will hopefully give me some experience and confidence to go for auditions. I would like to work between acting and SA work on a full time basis.

Qualifications & Training

I have worked on Tin Star, Mount Pleasant and Utopia and have been cast as pub punter, football supporter, passer by and a driver on a street. I would like to obtain further work like this as well as going for smaller acting roles and increasing my experience on set.

Interests & Hobbies

My main interest is sailing our boat on the south coast of Devon. I intend to take further yachting courses to expand my training more formally. My home interest is gardening and growing our own vegetables and pickling the produce. I am also a passionate environmentalist and intent on living as close to a zero waste lifestyle as possible. I love going to the theatre with my amateur dramatic society friends and love participation shows where we dress up and take part. I love live music and regularly attend gigs and music festivals both locally and round the UK. I also play host to bands that come to our local live music venue when required, which can be interesting to say the least!
