About Me

I'm 20 years old and from Giltbrook in Nottinghamshire. Although I currently reside in Sheffield for my university studies I do frequently go home to Giltbrook as well, where I live with my two parents and my younger and older brothers. I consider myself an introverted and quiet person most of the time, but can become more vibrant when in my comfort zone or doing something I greatly enjoy, such as acting.

I used to be a member of the Ripley Academy of Drama, which allowed me chances to work as an extra on some BBC programmes such as Hustle, Doctors and CBBC's The Sparticle Mysteries.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

With acting I've not had any professional experience, but I am currently a member of the Sheffield Hallam University's Drama Society (SHU Drama) and have performed in a number of their stage shows for them, including plays like John Godber's Bouncers and Shakers, A Midsummer Night's Dream and a variety show of sketches and songs called Thestival. With modelling, I've not had any experience whatsoever and it's by no means my primary interest but depending on the circumstances I would be willing to try my hand at it. With being an extra, I've had work through being a former member of the Ripley Academy of Drama. I've been in the final episode of BBC's Hustle, two episodes of BBC's Doctors and lastly I did three days of work on CBBC's The Sparticle Mysteries.

Qualifications & Training

I'm currently a student at Sheffield Hallam University, entering my third year of studying Creative Writing. I studied AS Psychology as well as A2 History, Media Studies and English Literature at The Kimberley School, receiving three Bs in the latter two subjects and a C in the former.

Relevant Skills

Drama has been a part of my life since I was very young, having joined the Helen O'Grady drama club when I was still in my first years of primary school. I later left but then found myself a part of my school's drama club, as well as performing in a school production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe as Grumpskin (the White Witch's servant). When I entered Sixth Form I decided to join a separate drama group outside of school, which was the Ripley Academy of Drama, where I was able to have the aforementioned experiences as an extra in some BBC programmes. I left the Academy once I left for Sheffield but I have been eager to get back into it over the summer now that I have a lot more free time.

Interests & Hobbies

I consider myself a big film buff so anything to do with cinema or films, be it going to the cinema, watching films at home or even writing film reviews for a student film magazine. Outside of this I'm also a keen reader and have dabbled in writing from time to time (hence my choice of university course). Lastly I enjoy acting with my drama society, and during the semesters a lot of my free time is dedicated to rehearsing for upcoming drama productions such as the ones I mentioned earlier like Bouncers and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
