my name is matthew wallcroft. before reading further i wish to thank you for taking the time to study my profile and hope that this offers a great insight as to who i am and what i stand for.

i was brought up from an early age in foster care untill i was 17 and moved out into independance. music has always been a rock for myself and i have found that in my darkest times, playing an instrument and singing have always been a rememdy for any blues i faced, but it is because of this fact that my music is sung with an unfound passion and almost always tells a story in some way or another. self taught in piano and guitar, i strove to make music that turn heads, i believe if was this very reason that i find my music innovative and unique. as far as acoustic performances go, its is very hard to find a musician that can truely say they can play a guitar in a manner unheard.

music has always been a passion for myself, wether toiling with the keybourd from an early age or truely settling down with a guitar. im self taught which in my eyes can be key for someone to establish thier own sound. even to this day i try to define and yet bend the rules of what one would expect to hear from a guitar or piano, i believe my work is inovative, incorporating numerous styles to create a sound uncommen but still appealing to all ears. my singing voice has been described to sound like singers from "the fray" florence and the machine" "paolo nutini" "the kooks" "kate nash" and many more. this is because i utilise as many styles as possible when i sing. not only can i often immitate an artist in accent, vocal range and style but i can also take my experiance singing as that artist and improve apon their work adding greater vocal ranges, guitar/piano acompiaments or even a new style. experiance wise i have worked with bands and as solo guitarist for many charity events in the torbay region and often help out at a local charity orginisation that works towards offering a free musical environment for youths to practice/perform their talents under a watchful eye.
