About Me

Martin is a passionate creative who was writing, acting and performing from a very young age. His subsequent extensive career in entertainment started in 1983 when he began learning his craft as a compere as well as performing comedy sketches at Europe’s largest residential holiday centre, Butlin’s Minehead. He was later promoted to Assistant Entertainment Manager, responsible for overseeing 14 venues and allocating duties to a team of 30+ Redcoats, before turning professional as a personality host and compere in 1987. Martin spent four years as resident compere of Barnum’s adult cabaret venue and his game show creation ‘Mad For It’ was commissioned by Butlin’s for several years.
He later launched, managed and hosted three highly successful live entertainment nightclubs over a six year period. In 2005, Martin delivered the full West End production of ‘Grease’ to Disneyland Paris and has operated freelance since 2007, specialising as host and compere for corporate and private events at the UK’s most prestigious venues for an impressive client list of global brands. He also supplies his own self-contained, audience participation ‘quiz-with-bells-on’ game show, ‘Never Mind The Fuzz Box’.
Martin presented his weekly afternoon show on Wiltshire's Fantasy Radio for more than two years.
He is a published author of fourteen titles for children. His work was recently featured in a collection of stories as one of five contributing authors including Anthony Horowitz and former Poet Laureate Sir Andrew Motion.
His latest children’s story is being published in 2019 with worldwide distribution.
