About Me
A has been drag queen! A Welsh, tattooed, tram driving Gay dad. A chocolate chomping baker, stitcher, weight loser (and gainer!).
My late hubby and I spent 5 years working the drag circuit as a double act (Collectively known as Trouble I was Bobbie Dazzler and he was Miss Whiplash) it was good old fashioned comedy drag and live performance, from working mens clubs to pride events. Sadly cancer took Miss Whiplash away aged 32.
A year later life started again and now I\'ve re-married and we have adopted four cats and a lovely 21 month old little boy.
I\'m a Welshman settled comfortably amongst the English for almost 15 years, I have less hair than I\'d like on my head, sometimes bearded sometimes not, four tattoos with more planned and a decreasing waistline, 4 stone so far and a few more to go. I\'m on to my third marriage (one to a woman) with a history of one divorced and one deceased so I\'m hoping this one stays around a bit longer!
If I do something then I aim to be the best! I enjoy all things creative and crafty, painting, decorating, sewing, crochet, gardening, making, cooking and baking. I endure exercise when I have to. I love hosting and entertaining (I’m sure my parties are the best - my last wedding was, after all I’ve had the practice!).
I\'d love to have an army of kids and I\'d love to get back on stage but I\'m not sure Dad-Drag will go down well at playgroup or football practice when toddler is a little older but who knows, if it becomes a \"thing\" then I\'m on it!
In my spare time I run a charity I formed following my late husbands death and love to challenge peoples pre-conceptions about what it is to be a gay man.
I think I have a logical and reasoned approach to life problems but get frustrated that common sense doesn\'t seem to be so common and like deodorant, those that need it most tend not to use it! Maybe that’s why my current husband says I’m highly strung but really, if you don\'t do it to the best of your ability then what the point in doing it at all?
