About Me
I am easy to get along with and would rather be busy than bored - I try to get involved and help out at rehearsals or on set and once I have a script in hand I study it early on in depth.
I feel that if I am going to enjoy something, I should throw myself into it thoroughly rather than making a halfhearted attempt.

Employment History & Experience
Most recently I have played Cinna the Conspirator in Brownsea Open Air Theatre's production of Julius Caesar. In addition to this I also took the role of a soldier, which involved a more commanding presence and several months of training for fight sequences.
In 2007 I wrote and directed a short war film as part of my University course, and as such have an understanding of the requirements and restrictions of low budget films.
In 2003 I took the role of Riff in a college production of West Side Story. Since that time I have promised myself I would pursue acting again as a hobby and with Julius Caesar this year, I am finally doing so.

Employment History & Experience
I have played guitar since age 14 and sang for almost as long. At school and university I played in various bands, most notably ikol, a Sunderland based rock band with whom I wrote several songs and performed around the local area. In 2008 I moved to Dorset and have since performed at local open mic nights. More recently I have joined a local band playing popular covers for fun - we are currently working on our set list and intend to start gigging soon.
My YouTube page (www.youtube.com/maloric85/) features my acoustic interpretations of a handful of songs as well as two songs recorded by ikol.

I am physically fit and enjoy roles that can make use of this. Playing a soldier in Julius Caesar was great fun as it provides a spectacle for the audience and requires skill and concentration in equal measure. As taxing as the fight sequences may be, I enjoy this kind of physical acting for the gasps of surprise and genuine pleasure the audience can take away from a well executed performance.
At the same time I enjoy character driven plots and relish the opportunity to develop a character by immersing myself into their psyche. Believable characters with honest emotions are a great opportunity for an actor to spread his wings.
