About Me

I am a 59 year old part-time driving instructor. I am looking to do some \"extras\" work to supplement my income. I am married and have one daughter and two grandchildren. I am interested in ANYTHING to do with cars and motoring and enjoy attending race meetings and motor shows. I am in good health and am based in Bexleyheath, Kent, so in an ideal location for commuting into London and travelling around the South East. I am available from 1st April 2018.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

I have recently left the world of retail management after 40 years, with over 22 years at a senior level with the same employer, Mind Retail - I just believed it was time for a change of direction.

I am an absolute car “buff”, with 39 years experience of owning and driving many different types of light vehicles. I am also a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists and have, in the past, been a Senior Observer with the local IAM group. I own a Mazda MX5 Dakar for pleasure and am a member of the MX5 Owners Club.

My extensive retail background has provided me with all the people skills necessary to understand customer needs and deliver a high standard of customer service. Moreover, when cases of customer dissatisfaction have been encountered, I have always looked to resolve matters speedily, maintaining good communication with the customer throughout and, in particular, reviewing the circumstances of the complaint to devise and implement any training and/or development required in order to avoid such situations occurring in the future. I am told I am a very personable individual, with a good sense of humour, and I do thrive on being able to help - from my voluntary work with the IAM through to supporting elderly friends, family and neighbours with day-to-day requirements when they may not be able to achieve them on their own.

I do hope to be considered for any Extras for which I may be deemed suitable. I am available for work from April 1st 2018 and should I be successful at securing any audition, I would hope to be able to sufficiently convince the party concerned that I would make a great member of an "Extras" cast.
