About Me
I am trust worthy, punctual, enthusiastic, honest, loyal, reliable, friendly, and hardworking. I am able to work independently and as a team, I can interact with other people, and I am a quick learner. In February 2014 I did five days work experience at the Belgrade theatre. During those five days I worked closely with the staff assisting them in their jobs and also learning about what office life is like. The work I carried out included organising paper work, labelling envelopes, displaying posters and leaflets around the building. I even attended a meeting of all the departments getting a sense of how all of the different departments work together to make the business run. One of the main things I learnt there was about the administration side of the Belgrade, this was interesting because previously all of my interaction with the staff had been in the Community and Education Department, and so I learnt that there is more to running a theatre than just the actors.I have completed my Bronze Arts Award. This was an award I completed in my drama group. I had to complete a range of activities in one of the arts such as performing in a show, writing about someone who inspires me in the arts, going to see a show, writing a review for it, and running an arts related activity for a group of people. Completing it was challenging and took a significant amount of time, however when I did I was very pleased because I have always had an interest in the acting industry and this award felt like a step towards that. In November 2015 I did five days’ work experience at the Talisman Theatre. This was a different experience from work experience at the Belgrade as it was an amateur theatre as opposed to a professional theatre. I spent most of my time assisting the behind-the-scenes staff in set building, and I also got to see some rehearsals for the theatres Christmas pantomime, having the opportunity to work in two different local theatres has given me a valuable insight into how different theatre companies prepare for their performance. I have been involved with various Belgrade theatre youth groups for six years and in that time I have learnt many life skills, for example I have developed my social skills, and being able to interact with other people. I also helped with one of the junior drama groups at the Belgrade and doing that has increased my patience, sense of responsibility, leadership skills, and given me the opportunity to pass down my knowledge and experience to the next generation.
• Recently I had the opportunity to write and direct my own short performance at the Belgrade theatre. This was a great experience that allowed me to take on new responsibilities that I’d never had up to that point.

Employment History & Experience
I started classes at the Belgrade theatre in 2010, since then I have been involved with several drama groups and been in several productions. With them I completed my Bronze Arts Award where I completed a range of activities such as performing in a show, writing about someone who inspires me in the arts, writing a review for a show and running an arts related activity. Completing it was challenging and took a significant amount of time, however when I did I was very pleased because I’ve always had an interest in the industry and this award felt like a step towards that. I also volunteered as a helper at the Canley Juniors Drama group where I assisted my group leader with running drama related activities and helping the group members to create a short performance for their parents. This helped to increased my patience, sense of responsibility, and gave me the opportunity to pass down my knowledge and experience to the next generation while helping them to develop their own skills. I recently had the opportunity to write and direct a performance, this required me to run various activities with my drama group and to lead rehearsals which increased my leadership skills. Overall I feel like my time with the Belgrade has given me great insight into what the professional world is like both on and off stage.

I have also been involved with the scouting organisation since the age of 6 which has allowed me to challenge myself as well as feel like part of a team. I was part of the organising committee that planned a ten-day trip to Slovenia in July 2016, this taught me about preparation and planning, which are transferable skills to planning and preparing a performance. I think my biggest achievement with the scouts so far was in March 2016 when I completed the Chase Walk, this is when a team completes a 40 mile walk in a single day. This required us to do training walks which gradually increased in distance every Sunday for a period of 3months. As a member of a seven-person team I supported and encouraged my fellow team members to complete the walk in 14 hours and 43 minutes. Completing this challenge gave me a great deal of pride and a feeling of overcoming a difficult challenge which a few years ago I never thought I would be able to do, and so it’s taught me that you should always try to challenge yourself and never give up to achieve greatness.
