I'm an 18 year old girl from Kent who aspires to become an actress. Self motivated and hard working are two factors that strongly define me, I have a genuine, unique yet fun personality and I absolutely love to take on and experience new challenges. I have had little experience within the performance industry however with my strong sense of motivation, an open mindset and an extremely positive attitude, I have the potential.

General Experience

I haven't had much experience within the performance industry however the experiences I have had within my school years were extremely enjoyable and motivates me go further. I auditioned for the role of Nancy at school when I was 11 for an Oliver Twist performance which I thoroughly enjoyed, taking on the role of an east end women was a fun yet rewarding experience and allowed me to explore the life of a middle aged women of a lower class in the late 1830's. At secondary school I completed my GCSE and Alevel qualification in Drama. As part of the course I performed as the main character Daisy in 'Daisy Pulls it off'. I communicated the role of being an upper class school girl through the use of vocals and movement, I was able to sustain the articulation and pronunciation of the words which immediately conveyed the difference between the character and myself. Throughout my drama course I have had the opportunity to devise a number of performances, I have explored historical issues such as the women's right to vote and was able to create a piece based on the lives of four women from London desperate to make a change in society. Exploring these characters in depth and the history behind the topic allowed me to understand and demonstrate how certain events in history have deeply effected certain people through the use of my characterisation. I have taken part in other performances based on topics such as Illegal immigration, gender inequality and the war. There have also been a number of performances where I have taken on the role of a presenter, this has allowed my to develop my audience communication skills, improvisation skills and has improved my confidence hugely.
