About Me

Hello! My name is Laura Rose Layden and I am a 16 year old aspiring Performer. I am currently studying Level 3 diploma in Musical Theatre at Wakefield College. Alongside Performing Arts; I also take a huge intrest in music and instruments, I play piano, ukulele and I am currently learning guitar. I love learning new skills and I am always keen to take on a challenge. By taking challenges and trying new things, It has also helped me found new ground in my singing skills and enabled me to take part in many different styled events/companys. I was part of the Opera North Youth Company for a year, I have played \\\'Sandy\\\' In \\\'Grease\\\' I have sang in a band and I have also done a couple of 1940\\\'s style shows. I also am a TeenStar Grand Finalist and previous winners include Jahmaene Douglas, Birdie and Lucy Spraggan! Aside from singing I also love to discover new levels in my acting and recently I played a small named speaking role in a professional feature film to be released in 2016. I am also increasing my dancing skills everyday and endure intense workout and endurance sessions to enable me to improve, I am very good at taking on advice and direction and I pick up and perform dance routines to a good level. I am always looking to improve!!
Aside from performing arts I also love raising money for charity and doing various events. Recently I raised over £250 for The British Heart Foundation and I am always looking for ways to improve and help other peoples lives, whether that be petitioning or actively fundraising.
