About Me

I'm a very enthusiastic and happy person, I like tasks to have my full attention and hard work. There's no point in doing something if it's a half attempt. I'm a busy student balancing work and education, however I like to challenge myself with new things and activities. Drama has always been something I love, right from when I was a child watching Del Boy and Red Dwarf, to me what made was not just the awful yet funny story lines, but the quality of acting, no one corpsing, just great actors making great tv. Not gonna lie, I can be classed as a bit of a nerd, night in with a Doc Who box set is a good night to me! I love my family, their my love and support, they all mean everything to me.

Employment History & Experience

As a drama student at the University of Worcester, acting is part of my every day life. Specifically though I have participated in several musicals, including Joseph and The Sound of Music. I have also explored Shakespeare with a recent production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, in which I played the mechanical, Snug the Joiner, and a somewhat stroppy little fairy named Peaseblossom. Recently I have been in a short film, which was an amazing experience and highly enjoyable. Though it is true to say my acting experience is somewhat limited, I make up for this in enthusiasm and an excitement towards acting and performing.

General Experience

Generally my experience is that of small stage shows, lots with college and university during my times of study, however there have been other projects such as the short film and work with my beloved university drama society, Spotlight.

Qualifications & Training

I have participated on a course of applying drama to business, using the techniques of Boal and his Theatre of Oppression techniques to aid better relationships in the work place. I also have a B grade GCSE drama and C grade A Level drama, as well as two years university experience of joint honors english and drama.

Relevant Skills

After years of studying drama, as well as the on stage confidence I also have an understanding of theatre, or film, and how they work. A performance is a process and alot of work, so much goes into it, from the initial ideas right up until your performance and everyone has to be a perfectionist. Also, if anyone's doing a Latin American or Spanish film, I can Salsa dance!

Interests & Hobbies

I am addicted to bad comedies, things like Red Dwarf and Friends, there's such a love and relationship on screen it amazing to watch. I'm also an avid reader, which doing a course like mine I guess is a good thing! As a hobby, I Salsa Dance, i'm not exactly a pro but I do love it, it's a chance to really relax and laugh. Sad but true, I cross stitch, keeps the mind and the bads busy whilst creating something beautiful. One thing really close my heart though is my university drama society, Spotlight, which next year I shall be vice chair for. It's just such a great team of people working together creatively, it makes me incredibly proud!
