About Me

I am a tall, mixed race, "young" woman, with a quirky sense of humour that only seems to be understood by other creative people! As a teenager and young twenty-something, I had plans to be working in the performing arts industry. I was on the right track until family circumstances and financial difficulties meant I had no other choice but to live a 9 - 5 existence. Up until now, that is!!!
Now I am in a position to explore this desire I have for all things creative, and throw myself headlong into projects I may be suitable for. I realize I am essentially starting from the beginning, but a start is better than nothing at all!
Although I've had no paid acting experience to date, I feel I have the confidence, personality, drive, and life experience to be a part of this industry. I am no stranger to performing in front of audiences or being creative, and I hope to continue forward with my dream.
I am a fast learner, respond well to direction and also work well in a group. I would value the opportunity to be involved with the performing arts in some way.

General Experience

Between the ages of 12 and 16 I spent four years at Greenwich Young Peoples Theatre. I developed improvisational acting skills, learnt comedic timing, created short plays, performed in front of small audiences, and developed a knowledge of character analysis.
Then, aged 17, I attended The Blackheath Conservatoire to build my vocal skills. There I learnt breathing techniques and how to anchor and project my voice. I then taught myself the basics in music technology, undertook and passed a City and Guilds course in Music Production, and wrote, produced and performed my own demo tapes.
This musical knowledge, along with my earlier acting experience, led me to perform my own original music live on stage at various nightclubs and events.
