Employment History & Experience
Since the age of 3 to the age of 17 I attended a local dance school, Muriel Harrison's School of Dance. Here I was taught ballet, tap, modern jazz, commercial, lyrical and basic Irish dancing.
Over the period of 8 years from 2006-2013 I was a part of Sunderland Empire's Stage Experience. This was a two week intensive learning an entire musical including dances and songs. At the end of the two weeks we would perform four shows at the Sunderland Empire with live audiences. Some of the musicals we performed were We Will Rock You, Fame, Footloose and West Side Story.
In 2013, Ashley Banjo - lead choreographer of Diversity - created a television series called 'Ashley Banjo's Big Town Dance' on Sky1. I auditioned to take part in this to be a dancer to fill out the crowds and excitingly got the chance to. Over several weeks we rehearsed the dance with the full cast and the members of Diversity. The final performance was a huge success and got Stockton dancing.

Experience & Qualifications
General Experience
From the age of 6, I have played piano and I am currently a Grade 5 and also have an A Level in Music - B.
Qualifications & Training
To further my training, I went to Sunderland College to study a BTEC Extended Diploma in Dance where I achieved the highest grade of D*D*D*. Through the 2 years we trained mainly in contemporary and ballet. In addition, we trained in jazz and physical theatre. After my two years I was awarded the Outstanding Student of the Year award in 2013.
I have performed alongside Diversity in Ashley Banjo's Big Town Dance on Sky 1. Ashley wanted dancers there to help with the non dancers. There was an audition process for this which I passed.
From here I studied a Foundation Degree in Dance with Sunderland University achieving a 2:1. Over these two years the training focused more on contemporary and choreography.
For my final year of university I moved to London and attended Middlesex University. Throughout the year we developed ourselves as dancers and discovered what kind of dancer we were. The techniques which we trained here in were Cohan, Release, Cunningham and Ballet. We often had Robert Cohan come in and observe class as our lecturer Anne Donnelly was a dancer in London Contemporary Dance Company. Our Cunningham teacher, Noi Tolmer, has worked with Matthew Bourne. Their experiences helped me develop over my year here.
We had the opportunity to work with a choreographer, Louise Kelsey of Shaded Voice Dance Company, who collaboratively created a piece which we performed at ArtsDepot in London for our final year show. I graduated with an upper second class overall.
