My name is Joel Gibson. I have wanted to be an actor/ entertainer since I can remamber. I love making people, this is my biggest strenghth. There is no one on the earth more ambitious than me. I will not rest untill my goals are not only met but succeeded. I want to be a role model for people and help others who need it most.

I have acted in a short film called 'The cloud' which the media students at Lincoln University put on. I was the main character. This was all unpaid. I have performed in many musicals at Lincoln college such as Hairspray and Miss Saigon. I have also have acted in the Crucible which I played one of the main characters 'Danforth' and 'Mr Putnam'.

The only presenting I have done is when me and best friend hosted a Veriety show at Lincoln college which was a fantastic experience. We made the audience laugh and made the overall show even better.

I have sang as part of an ensemble in many shows from Les Mis, Hairspray and Miss Saigon. I also had a solo part in Miss Saigon as I played the role of 'John'.

Not including the stuff I've already spoke about, I have been part of a team which has gone around primary schools with our own devised play. The play is based on 'Responsibility' which is very important when you're a role model for children.

I have GCSEs in English Lang, Maths, Drama, History, RE, Science Applications, Science Principles. I also have a Extended Diploma in Performing Arts.

Relevant Skills

I am humorous. I can make conversation with anyone. I can learn lines very fast and this is one of my biggest skills. I am punctual and I am fantastic at motivating a group of people if they're feeling down or fatigued. Finally, my characterisation skills are very strong and I can portray any character I am given.

Interests & Hobbies

I love going to th cinema and listening to music, I love most genres of music and films. I would have to say Comedy is my favourite genre. I love hanging with my best mates and being around my family. I am a very passionate Derby county fan and I have had a season ticket with them for 3 years now, I love football. I love go carting and going to the theatre too.
