Most people call me Jo, I am a Working mum of 2 Lovely Children, creating stablity with my normal day job. General Experience

June 98 – June 06 Joanne Daniels Dance Academy, Westwoodside, North Lincolnshire Principal

I ran my own dancing school teaching dance to 120 children and adults. This involved planning and running weekly dance classes, preparing students for annual dance examinations and coordinating and producing dance shows each year. I delivered a good standard of customer service and worked hard at developing a strong customer base, marketed the dance school locally and managed my own finances and book keeping. I successfully sold the dance school in 2006 to allow me to spend more time with my young family.

Apr 91 – Jan 95 Dancer

I was employed as a professional Dancer for a number of employers during this period, which required discipline, physical fitness and the ability to learn and perform dance routines as part of a dance troupe. My specific employment details were: -
Dec 94 – Jan 95 Chris Moreno – Dancer in the pantomime Aladdin at the Theatre Royal in York.
May – Sept 1994 Nick Thomas – Dancer in the summer season at Weymouth.
Mar – May 1994 Apollo Leisure – Dancer and Magician’s Assistant in the Magic Man at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London.
Paul Daniels _ Magician’s Assistant in the Magic Man Tour of England and Japan.
Dec 93 – Jan 94 Chris Moreno – Dancer in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Theatre Royal, Lincoln and also Aladdin the year after.
Dec 92 – Jan 93 Stanley Cher – Dancer in the pantomime Dick Whittington in Ashton-Under-Lyne.
Apr 92 – Oct 93 Dick Ray – Dancer at Caesar’s Palace in Jersey.
Apr 91 – Oct 92 Dick Ray – Professional Dancer at Caesar’s Palace in Jersey.

Oct 06 – Present Dance Teacher

Due to my love of dancing, I was unable to hang up my dance shoes permanently. I now run an adult tap dance class on a weekly basis and a dance exercise/Zumba class twice a week, which I find very rewarding and sociable.

Extra work in Blooming Marvelous and Bergerac whilst I was dancing profesionally in Jersey.

Choreographed and modeled 2 charity fashion shows.
