About Me

I'm around 5'10" and 12st with brown hair and green / hazel eyes. I'm Jewish with English, German, Irish, Iraqi and Syrian ancestry, and I've been told I resemble and / or sound like (among others) Tim Roth, Alan Cumming, Hugh Grant and Sean Hughes. I have a strong, versatile voice, I'm articulate with a fairly 'posh' English accent (I also speak some German and French) and I can sing in tune and play the guitar. I spent nine years working as an English teacher at a grammar school in Kent and around ten years working in advertising in London. I grew up in Elstree and went to Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School from 1980 to 1991. In 2016 I played the part of Will Parker in the Dover Operatic and Dramatic Society's production of Oklahoma. In 2002 I attended a screen acting course at the New York Film Academy in NYC, and I returned to the NYFA the following year to study screenwriting. In 2016 I completed a screen acting course with the Actors Studio (based at Pinewood Studios). I completed the Screen Acting Level 2 course at the City Academy in 2018 and the Screen Acting Level 3 course at the City Academy in 2021. I'm a calm, positive and friendly person - I listen carefully to others and I always try to do my best, and I care deeply about film, television, comics, music and video games. I wrote a book about the computer games of the '80s entitled The 8-Bit Book - 1981 to 199x which was published in 2009. My second book, The Book of the Game of the Film, was published in December 2017. My third book, Arcade Imperfect, was published in 2021.

Completed the Actors Studio 'Screen Acting Weekly' course in 2016, which concluded with two days' filming at Pinewood Studios. Completed Screen Acting Levels 2 and 3 with the City Academy in London in 2018 and 2021 respectively.
