About Me

I am a lively and comedic person. I work well in a group and also find it easy to lead and be creative.

Acting for me is away of escaping from normal life. I love it because it gives me a chance to forget about things and transform into someone completely different.

I have suffered serious knock backs as a person having been bullied for my appearance but also my sexuality. However I have overcome this and am very proud about myself as a person and as an actor.

General Experience

As a young and enthusiastic actor in North Yorkshire, I have had plenty of amature experience. I have taken part in The York Mystery Plays, been part of the Harrogate International Festival having a major part in a Musical. I also have experience singing in local choirs and communtiy musicals.

I am used to extreme conditions as an actor having taking part in street theatre and mime for my GCSE Drama project, performing for two hours straight on Parliment Street, York - one of the busiest shopping areas.

I also recieved recognision from a local director of the Tv Soap Emmerdale for my work in the community and was rewarded with a tour of ITV studios and a chance to do some on set work with the cast and crew.

Although, I have never experienced professional work, but only because of my age. I am now looking to branch out into professional work and gain as much experience as possible.

Qualifications & Training

I have recieved a level 2 grade qualification for the Youth Arts Leadership Award run by Arts Council Uk and am currently working to Level 3.

I recieved the Lyons Best Actor Award 2010 for my work towards my school and community.

I have only recently begun singing lessons but hope to achieve grade 6 experience by the end of this year.

I am very diversed in comedic and slap stick techniques but also enjoy taking serious and sometimes tragic roles.

I am good at characterisation and am fascinated by total transformation work.

I am used to extreme acting enviroments and enjoying challenging myself to the full.

Interests & Hobbies

As well as acting and music a am a strong artist and also have experience with make-up, costume and set design having doing a two week work experience with a leading Costume Hire and Set Design company in North Yorkshire.

I am also a skilled writer and enjoy creative and critical thinking. As part of my Level 3 YALA project I will be writing, directing and staring in a student film with other local actors.
