I am confident, friendly and a hard-worker. I'm used to long hours; at GMTV I worked night shifts for years. I am as comfortable interviewing Secretaries of State as I am approaching everyday people on the street. My passions include travel, human rights and environmental issues and I would love the chance to explore these in documentaries.

Employment History & Experience

I am the reporter for the BBC Politics Show in the South East. I have done this for over two years and covered the general election extensively. Before that I had a weekly presenting slot on Five News, aswell as reporting for BBC Midlands Today, ITV Wales and GMTV. I started my career at GMTV, where I worked for nearly five years; my first job there was presenting and acting on their weekend children's show.

Qualifications & Training

I have a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism, passed with a commendation from Birmingham City University. I have an English Literature degree from Loughborough University, passed with a 2:1.

Other Information

Relevant Skills

I can speak good converstional French, as well as basic Spanish. I have a real passion for languages and can learn them quickly.
I am a very experienced interviewer who is comfortable with a wide range of people- from Mohamed al Fayed to David Cameron. I am also used to interviewing 'real' people in uncomfortable situations, such as the family of a recently killed soldier for example.
I am confident in front of the camera in both a pre-recorded and a live situation, having done this for broadcast every week for years.

Interests & Hobbies

I am a keen traveller and spend all of my free time with a backpack on, whether I'm trekking through Costa Rican rainforests or haggling in souks in Jordan.
I have always been a water sports entusiast; I learnt to sail when I was ten years old and I also enjoy wake-boarding, water-skiing and windsurfing. I have yet to learn to master a surf board!
