My acting experience since receiving an A level in Performing Arts is limited, but through my Broadcast Journalism postgraduate degree I have strong presence on screen as well as over the airwaves.

In the last year I have both presented and reported news and current affairs shows on a weekly basis for both Radio and TV.

Our fortnightly television show is filmed in the university tv studio and is produced in the style of London Tonight. Not only have I anchored the show, but have also been a live on-scene reporter as well as producing my own 90 second news packages.

Our radio shows follow a different format each week. So far we have produced a 30 min radio programme in the style of BBC Radio Four, Radio 1 Newsbeat, Absolute Radio, Talksport and BBC Radio Solent, and I have presented the weather, the entertainment report and produced a number of radio packages between 90-120 seconds.

I am currently reporting and producing a 5-7 min TV documentary on the Mandaeans, an ancient religion on the brink of extinction, which has already had some interest from a number of production companies.

At Eve Magazine, my responsibilities included communicating with PR companies and fashion houses both in the UK and overseas, to call in products for shoots and fact check information for final publication. Preparing the correct equipment and samples for each shoot; organising the transportation to and from the locations; assisting the stylist on set.

Interests & Hobbies

Fashion: A serial bargain shopper, I also blog and enjoy styling which I present on my personal and work websites. I also subscribe to Vogue, Elle and Instyle and buy the weekly gossip rags.

Music: I love going to clubs and gigs to dance and listen to a wide range of music from hip hop to alternative and I am looking forward to seeing my favourite band The Cure at Bestival this year.

Fitness: Coaching and playing basketball is what I love but I also visit the gym regularly and love badminton, table tennis, Pilates, skiing and football.

Current Affairs and Politics: I have grown up in the political world as the daughter of an MP so have been involved in various local and national campaigns and a Labour Party member.

Film and Television: A Cineworld cardholder and Lovefilm member, I love the movies and write reviews on my online blog and I also watch over 10 hours of TV a week from Panorama to Glee.

User Generated Content: I write for a blog, which discusses the pros and cons of user generated content in Journalism. I am also an avid tweeter.

Food: I watch every food programme on TV and enjoy baking at home as well as building up my recipe file.
